Privacy notice

Privacy

This notice explains how DroneVault handles personal data for the website and app. It is written for UK users and reflects the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Last updated: 5 June 2026

Who We Are

DroneVault is a deployable drone monitoring product. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

What the App Does

The DroneVault app connects to the configured drone or site API so authorised users can view operational status, telemetry, recordings, alerts, and related response information.

The app does not create a separate DroneVault cloud account, does not sell personal data, and does not record or store data outside the connection to the configured drone or site API. Operational data remains controlled by the operator of that API or deployment.

Data We May Process

Depending on how DroneVault is deployed, the app may display or transmit data from the configured API, such as:

  • Drone, dock, stream, battery, and environment telemetry.
  • Recording metadata, alert metadata, thumbnails, or playback links exposed by the API.
  • User authentication tokens or session details needed to connect to the API.
  • Technical data needed to keep the app secure and connected, such as API URLs and device registration state.

The marketing website does not include user accounts, analytics, cookies, or contact forms. If you email us, we will process your email address, message, and any information you choose to send.

Why We Process Data

Where personal data is involved, it is processed only as needed to:

  • Provide the app connection to the configured drone or site API.
  • Authenticate authorised users and protect access to operational systems.
  • Display monitoring, media, alert, and response information requested by the user.
  • Respond to emails or support enquiries sent to DroneVault.

The likely lawful bases under UK GDPR are performance of a contract or legitimate interests, depending on the deployment and the relationship between DroneVault, the site operator, and the user.

Storage, Sharing, and Retention

DroneVault does not operate a separate external storage service for app data. Data shown in the app is requested from the configured drone or site API and remains subject to that deployment's storage, security, and retention settings.

We do not sell personal data. We may share information only where needed to provide support, comply with legal obligations, or protect the security of DroneVault and its users.

Emails and support correspondence are kept only for as long as needed to respond, manage the relationship, and maintain appropriate business records.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you may have rights to be informed, access your personal data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to processing, and receive a portable copy in certain circumstances.

To exercise privacy rights relating to a specific drone deployment, contact the operator of that deployment first, because they control the API, operational data, and retention settings. You can also contact DroneVault at [email protected].

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your personal data has been handled, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes

We may update this notice when DroneVault's features, deployment model, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.
